NOCCOA GAMES Volunteer Opportunities

August 12 - 16, 2010

The vision of the annual NOCCOA Games is to:
· Promote healthy, active lifestyles for older adults
· Promote positive perceptions of healthy aging
· Educate people about programs that support older adult lifestyles

Consistent with our agency mission of enriching the lives of older adults and their desire
to age with health and vitality, the games serve to highlight the explosive growth of the
active 50+ population in Ottawa County, which has experienced an "age wave" of growth
in the last six years.

Last year's games successfully engaged players ranging in age from 55-96 in athletic and recreational events. The 2010 NOCCOA Games have been expanded to include individuals 50+, and new events including a certified 5K run, 10K cycling, field events and pickleball.
