Emergency Unmet Needs
Sometimes people cannot afford to buy costly items such as hearing aids, ramps, eye glasses, and dentures. Yet, these items would make a huge difference in the quality of life for the person needing them. NOCCOA works with other local agencies to try to find funding for one time, big ticket items referred to as Unmet Needs. This program has an income and asset limit requirement to qualify, and the Older Adult will be responsible to help pay a small portion of this cost.
Funds are very limited and must be used to provide a permanent solution to an unmet needs.
